Christopher V. Hill Christopher V Hill is a Professor of History at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He received his Ph D from the University of Virginia in 1987. He has  published widely on the environmental history of Bihar and Odisha, and his publications include River of Sorrow: Environment and Social Control in Riparian North India, 1770-1996 and South Asia: An Environmental History.
He has received a number of prizes and fellowships for his work, including the Aldo Leopold Award from the American Society of
Environmental History, and a Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship.
